CoBrA

Art movement which rejected the traditions of figurative and abstract painting, instead using both they worked to create a style without preconcieved plan, using fantasy and lots of colour to liberate the creativity of all mankind. Showing that this could be interpretted and created by anyone, even those not really interested in the art scene, it was percieved as childlike and it was created with no real agender, except to be a little playful and free.

Karon Appel

The imagery is almost childlike, very primative, like the cave drawings of the Australian aboriginals only with more vibrant colours.
